FloodFence used for extinguishing lithium batteries

When an Electric Vehicle (EV) catches fire, it will burn with long-term intensity. The only way to prevent lithium battery thermal runaway is to submerge the EV battery in water for a long period of time. This will prevent the battery from re-igniting.

Fluvial Innovations FloodFence flood barrier is increasingly being used as a potential method for firefighters to submerge the battery. FloodFence is lightweight and can be rapidly deployed around the vehicle, to create a bund. Firefighters can then fill this bund with water, in turn submerging the electric battery for the required time.

FloodFence is dimensionally ideal for this scenario.
