A council based in England protected a large number of properties during heavy downpours in September by deploying Floodstop – flood defence. On the day of the high flood risk, an inquiry was placed by the council to see if 150-metres of the rapidly deployable flood defence could be hired and delivered within hours to site – Fluvial Innovations, along with their hire partner – responded fast and delivered Floodstop – flood protection to site within the required time frame.
Floodstop – flood defence was successfully deployed to prevent a reservoir from overflowing. If the reservoir was left unprotected nearby properties would have been flooded.
